According to Domofond.ru (the Russian website for selling and buying housing over the country), the average price of a square meter in St Petersburg is 110 114 rubles ($1 830), so St Petersburg has taken the third place following Moscow (202 600 rubles or $3 400) and Khimki (112 300 rubles or $1 900). It is worth noting that last year the city took the fourth place with the price of 108 700 rubles or $1 800.
St Petersburg is followed by Mytishchi which took last year’s third place. The property price there has dropped from 110 600 rubles ($1 840) to 106 300 rubles ($1 770) per square meter. The top 10 also includes Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (104 319 rubles or $1 740), Vladivostok (97 576 rubles or $1 620), Sochi (95 467 rubles or $1 590), Korolev (95 231 rubles or $1 580), Balashikha (89 523 rubles or $1 490) and Sevastopol (82 114 rubles or $1 370).
