Residents of the Tsentralniy District in St Petersburg are dissatisfied with the developer’s plan to densify the area of the city known as Mytniy dvor. In order to express their opinion, a protest meeting was organized on September 30 which took place on Ovsyanikovskiy pereulok area.
St Petersburg residents think that it is possible to avoid the densification of this area only if the government buys this territory. The local residents propose to make a park and construct a health and fitness center there.
The protesters also denounced the plan to densify the nearest streets and asked to forbidden densification of the historical center of the city.
As the result, 120 participants of the protest meeting signed the resolution which will be sent to the governor Poltavchenko and the president Vladimir Putin.
