Heirs of the first and second stages need to pay 0.3% of the value of the property, but not more than 100 thousand rubles; all others – 0.6%, but not more than 1 million rubles. After the assessment of the property, you can order a certificate from a notary.

After obtaining a certificate of inheritance, you can apply for registration of an apartment in the Federal Register. After that, you can submit an advertisement for the sale of real estate. After a buyer is found, everything will happen in the standard way: an advance payment is made for the property, a contract is concluded, and so on.

It is important to keep in mind that you can advertise for sale only after receiving a document confirming your ownership rights. That is, not earlier than 6 months after the death of the testator.

One more point: if you want to sell a house without paying tax, you need to wait for a three-year period of ownership of the object. If the period of ownership exceeds three years, you will not have to pay anything.
